Child Dental Benefit Scheme
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is an Australian government program providing eligible children aged 0–17 years access to up to $1,158 (as of 2026) in benefits over two consecutive calendar years for basic dental services.
Children must be 0–17 years old for at least one day in the calendar year, eligible for Medicare and receiving specific government payments.
The cap is available over two consecutive calendar years and can be used at public and private dental clinics. At Dickson Modern Dental, we BULK-BILL CDBS with no out-of-pocket costs and no need to claim later with Medicare.
Eligibility and remaining funds can be checked via Medicare online through the myGov account or by calling 132 011.
